I am back to issues with the man upstairs

I am troubled this week!

I want to know why some things just plain SUCK! Why is it that some people seem to have trail after trial and others just seem to sail right on through. Who decides who gets to have no trouble ever paying rent or whos kid gets sick or who gets to go on lavish vacations every year. I know most things come down to desicions we make. I know most of my problems the Lord will say "that was all you I had nothing to do with that" But I have some other things (other friends) that I would like to say "What happend" I am not going to go much further now but soon I will elaborate. When I can gather my thoughts and not be so random.

oooh this is timely! I was just talking with someone about this very issue the other day! My take? Everyone has trials, just some are more obvious to the outside world than others, and yes there are also the ones we bring on ourselves.

That and most of us, when we are in the middle of a trial that can be humiliating or humbling keep our mouth shut to save face. We act. We act well and everyone thinks our life is great. Some of us even LIE to make life feel better and seem better to the people around us.

The fact of the matter is that everything we go through, good, bad, indiffierent, is for our benefit. In that regard you have to look at your trials as builders and blessings, although they sure don't feel like it at the time.

It's o.k. to feel sorry for yourself at times, we all do, just don't get stuck there and don't feel like God has it out for you or someone you love.

Call me if you want to vent, you have my cell #. Hugs kid.

I remember on my mission talking with a companion about the trials a family was going through to get baptized. He made a rather scathing remark on the subject, "I don't see how they can call this a trial, if they had to go through what I went through-", I cut him off before he could finish the thought. "They would probably already be baptized, I have heard your trials and I understand how difficult they were for you, but if I had to face those issues I would have sailed on through without a second thought- it would probably be the same for them."

The fact is that trials and issues are a part of life. Everyone faces trials of one form or another. What might seem devastating to one might be no more than a small hiccup to another, barely worth the effort to comment on. And vice versa.

Some trials are what we might consider to be "universal", something that no one would like to tangle with, or maybe that anyone would gladly take on.

It doesn't change the fact that in one way or another every person on this earth will eventually be pushed to the limit, and then be pushed over it. Not once, not twice, but many times. Over and over and over. That is the nature of the beast. Those who weather the storms with the least effort are those that we should emulate, more than likely we would be overcome if we were to actually be presented with their trials.

That being said, the best way to work through our sufferings is in sharing. Therefore, by all means, please continue with the idea that sparked off this post...
